Stephen R. Higley

Stephen R. Higley, 70, of North Windham, passed away on July 13, 2014 at Backus Hospital in Norwich. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Dillon Higley. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Joseph and Melanie Higley of Georgia, and three grandchildren, Breanne, Joshua, and Ryan. Stephen retired from E.O. Smith High School where he worked as a custodian for many years. Prior to that he worked at American Thread Company until its closure. Stephen had a lifelong love of music, in particular, the church organ. His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours.
