Stephen Reynolds Bass of Scotland Connecticut passed away at home on the morning of Feb 7,2015 at the age of 88. He is best remembered as the eldest partner in Bass Brothers Farm of Scotland, established 1710, where he continued the family farm tradition for his entire life. Stephen was in total awe of life, people, the universe, and the mysteries of. In 2009 he suffered a stroke which altered his mental status, but he never forgot his friends and family and lived his life on this earth in full appreciation of it. He is preceded by father Eben and mother Helen (Woodman) Bass, brothers Eben, Harold and John Bass, sister Anne Elizabeth, wife Evelyn (Stygar) Bass, daughters Carol Ann Bass, Linda (Bass) Dery and son in law Paul Dery. Locally, Stephen is survived by son Robin William Bass and his wife Katherine of Scotland. He will be remembered by daughter Jennifer Bass also of Scotland. His surviving grandchildren include Madeline Bass of Bolton, CT, and Alexander, Ingrid, and Thomas Bass all of Scotland. His more distant survivors are son Stephen Bass Jr and his wife Carla of Franklin TN., as well as grandsons Evan and Aaron Bass of Nashville. He leaves beloved great grandchildren Nathan, Liam and Ainsley and Maddox Bass of Nashville. Stephen is survived by two brothers, William Bass of Ocala FL, and David Bass of Scotland CT, and sister Clare (Bass) Krueger of Goldsboro North Carolina. Stephen is survived by many wonderful nephews and nieces who are part of so many memories of a time gone by. A private ceremony was held at his cremation.
