Stephen Andrews

Stephen Andrews, 83, of Windham/Lebanon, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2014 at the Windham Hospital with family by his side. He was born in Lebanon on November 1, 1930 to Dimitri and Anna (Swilka) Andrews. He spent his life as a dairy farmer on his family's farm in Lebanon. He was a devoted UConn women's basketball and wrestling fan. He enjoyed gardening tomatoes and listening to polka music. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Theresa (Brisson) Andrews and their five children, Jennifer Andrews, Darlene Andrews, Michael Andrews and his longtime girlfriend Jessica Joslyn, Jonathan Andrews and Paul Andrews. He is also survived by three grandchildren that he loved dearly and who brightened up his day, Ryan Wood and Hailey and Keira Andrews, all of Windham. He is also survived by his sisters, Lorraine Andrews of Lebanon and Catherine Lesi of Cromwell and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Dimitri Jr, John Andrews and Anastasia Desrosiers. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Mary Church Repair Fund, 80 Maple Ave. Willimantic CT 06226.
