Stasia P. Lucs

Stasia Lucs, of Willimantic, passed away on May 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Living Center. She was born in Latvia on December 31, 1921. She came to Willimantic with her twin daughters and mother in August 1950. Stasia is survived by her daughters Ligita Stukuls, Anita Courtemanche and their husbands; her grandsons Derek and Gregory Stukuls and their wives; twin great grandchildren Gunnar and Ligaya. On her arrival in Willimantic Stasia worked at Electro Motive Mfg. Co. and after it closed she worked at Pratt and Whitney until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed traveling, being with her family and friends, playing bingo and tending to her beautiful flower garden. Stasia's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic with her funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Club Rd. Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Living Center, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
