Stanley Miller Spector WILLIMANTIC - Stanley Miller Spector, 80, of Willimantic, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004. He was born February 12, 1923 in Willimantic. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the United States Navy. After the Navy, Stan returned to Willimantic where he owned and operated Stan's Auto Parts on West Main Street in Willimantic. He married Lena R. Ruma on October 2, 1943, with whom he had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Lena; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathryn Spector; his sister, Ruth Tycon; his brother, Saul Spector; three grandchildren and their husbands, Cher and Brent Hugus, Carie and Duane Milhomme and Robyn and Joe Nelson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Howard and a son, Ron. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Potter Funeral Home.
