Stanley Gervais Obituary
Stanley Albert Gervais, 86, of Windham Center, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 7, 1938 in Willimantic, Connecticut, the son of Albert L and Edith (O’Bara) Gervais and was a lifelong resident of Windham. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Noreen (Casey) Gervais. He is survived by his daughter Kristina Smith and friend Dean Kraska, son and best friend Stanley A Gervais II and wife Laurie, daughter Casey Ann Gervais and friend Jimmy Mason. His greatest joy was his grandchildren: Jennifer Jenkins and husband Ben, Alexis Smith, Stanley Albert Gervais III and wife Chelsea and Alycia Gervais and fiancé Kamali O’Brian. Great granddaughter Ava Jenkins. He is also survived by his brother Peter M. Gervais. He was predeceased by his sister Gay Billie Parenteau.
Stash looked forward to working with the “boys” at the sawmill, driving his vintage trucks and hanging out with the garage crew. He was always up to travel to watch Shorty’s basketball team. Pictures and videos of Ava always brought a smile to his face. At the end, he said the one thing he was going to miss the most was spending time with his son but was ready to be reunited with his wife Noreen. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Windham Center Fire House or ST. Joseph’s Living Center. There are no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic. Burial will be private.
