Stanley G. Gasper

Stanley G. Gasper, 75, of Averill, VT., formerly of Andover, died Wednesday Sept. 18, 2002 at his home. He was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Andover the son of John and Rose (Kollar) Gasper. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and operated the family farm in Andover for many years prior to retiring to Averill. He was a member of the Andover Volunteer Fire Dept. Stanley enjoyed playing softball, hunting and especially enjoyed fishing in VT. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; John, Joseph and Andrew. He is survived by 4 sisters; Lena R. Ringhoffer of Windham, Florence B. Libby of Orlando, FL., Helen G. Hauschild of Mansfield and Louise A. McClusky of Woodstock and numerous nieces and nephews. Stanley's family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic TODAY from 6:00 to 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30pm at the funeral home with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to the Andover Volunteer Fire Dept., 11 School Rd. , Andover, Ct. 06232.
