Sotera Case

Sotera "Terry" Case, 88, of Willimantic, widow of Richard F. Case, died Sunday Sept. 7, 2003 at St. Joseph Living Center, Windham. She was born June 8, 1915 in Herkermer, N.Y. the daughter of George and Mary Thomas. She and her late husband operated Wolmer & Case Jewelry Store and Smith & Keon Jewelry Store both in Willimantic. Terry was a founding member of the Willimantic Chapter of Soroptimist International. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter Roberta Case of N. Windham, a daughter in law Susan Case of Londonderry, N.H., 7 grandchildren; Richard P., Andrew J., Michelle L. and Nicholas G. Case and Marty, Amanda and Billy Berg, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard A. Case and her granddaughter Mara Case. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 prior to her 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Assoc., Northern CT. Chapter, 96 Oak St., Hartford, Ct. 06106.
