Sophia A. Andrychowski

Sophia A. (Sidelko) Andrychowski, 82, of Willimantic, widow of Stanley Andrychowski, died Thursday Sept. 9, 2004 at the Windham Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born July 13, 1922 in Utica, N.Y. the daughter of Walter and Mary (Glackowska) Sidelko. Prior to her retirement, Sophia had been employed in the packing deptartment at the American Thread Co. for over 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Her survivors include her daughter, Sandra Novicki of Wallingford, her niece, Marie Borowiec of Utica as well as several cousins and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helyn J. Chrabas and 2 brothers, Edward and Matthew Sidelko. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to her 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations in Sophia's name to St. Joseph Church Capital Fund, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic,Ct. 06226.
