Sigurd V. Rose

Sigurd V. Rose, 86, of West Hartford, CT, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 with his niece Lisa Heath at his bedside. He was born June 26, 1928 in Riga, Latvia to the late Wilhelm and Anna Rose. Sigurd is survived by his brother, Raymond Rose and wife Zigrida; sisters, Isolde LeBrie and husband Tokuro Narazaki, Astrida Olds and husband William Olds; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Latvia and America. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Normund Rose, Leonid Rose and nephew Erwin Rose. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford for the loving care they provided to Sigurd. He truly was a child of God and will be dearly missed. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the New Willimantic Cemetery with Chaplin Brian Gray officiating.
