Shirley L. Meraviglia

Shirley L. Meraviglia, 76, of Lebanon, wife of the late Robert Meraviglia, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Windham Hospital. She was born February 10, 1935 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Francis and Fanny (LaFosse) Fane and had lived in Stratford and St. Augustine Florida before moving to Lebanon. Shirley was a volunteer grandmother at the Natchaug School and a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Bob and Jennifer Meraviglia of Stratford, Brian and Linda Meraviglia also of Stratford, Diane and Richard Gray of St. Augustine, FL and Bruce and Beth Meraviglia of Lebanon, nine grandchildren, Robert Meraviglia, Nicole and Melissa Meraviglia, Bobby and Kory Gray and Brian Meraviglia. She is also survived by three sisters, Mildred Schempp of Bethlehem, Dolores Hubbard of Stratford and Yvonne Desiderioscioli of Milford as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday January 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Lebanon on the Lebanon Green. Burial will be in St. Augustine, FL. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. The Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic assisted with arrangements.
