Shirley Spinnato Obituary
Shirley Ann Spinnato, 71, of Hampton, CT passed away on Tuesday November 1, 2022.  She was born on July 9, 1951, the daughter of Joseph T. LaChappelle and Noella R. Martin. Shirley was born into a large family, being only one out of nine siblings. Shirley left behind two surviving siblings, Jeannette Leduke, and Diane LaChappelle. She also left behind her children, Gregory A. Spinnato, Joseph M. Spinnato, Eric A. Spinnato, and April L. Sullivan.  Shirley was not only a loving mother, she was also a proud grandmother leaving behind grandson Brandon Spinnato and two granddaughters Rose A. Spinnato and Violet J. Spinnato.

Shirley worked at UCONN before retiring. She was always ready to chat, eager to talk about what was going on in her life. One of Shirley’s favorite things to do, was to watch the birds and the wildlife in her backyard. She was known for feeding the wild animals because she felt like she was helping to take care of them. Shirley always meant the best in all she did in her life and was happy to spend her last few weeks with all her children before passing.  Shirley will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Wildlife Conservations in honor of Shirley.  Shirley’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic, with her memorial services beginning at 5:00pm.
