Shelia Lucille Glennon, age 69, died peacefully on January 18, 2015 at home surrounded by her family, after a brief struggle with cancer. Shelia was born February 17, 1945, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Marie and John Alexson. Shelia was a devoted Catholic and a loving mother to three daughters, Diane Nadeau, Sharon Hatch and Lea Pelletier. She was known by everyone as "Honey" and enjoyed spending time with her family, doing charity work, going to the movies and shopping for her grandchildren. She joins her second husband, Leo Soucy and her grandson, Daniel Nadeau and is survived by her third husband, Fred Glennon, her three daughters, eight step-children, sister-in-law, five nieces and nephews, and a boat load of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by her many friends as a caring, generous, and kind woman who would give anyone the shirt off her back. There will be a wake Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St, Willimantic. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 940 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury and her burial will be at Curtiss Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Maple Tree CafAC., 781 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury, immediately following. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be sent to the Daniel K. Nadeau Scholarship fund in memory of Shelia Glennon.
