Sheldon A. Macdonald

Sheldon "Andy" MacDonald, age 48, of Chaplin, CT, passed to be with the Lord on April 12, 2014. He was born in Manchester, CT, on December 18, 1965 to Archie and Rachel MacDonald of Chaplin. Andy graduated from Parrish Hill High School and had attended Eastern Connecticut State University for a period of time. He married Dawn Wood on June 4, 2008. Andy was Treasurer of the Chaplin Congregational Church, enjoyed driving draft horses, loved his NASCAR, and didn't miss a Red Socks game. Andy is survived by his wife Dawn, mother and father Archie and Rachel MacDonald, sister Elaine M. Dumas of Storrs, sister Tammy L. LaFlamme of Canterbury, brother Scott E. MacDonald of Chaplin, several children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Chaplin Congregational Church in Chaplin on May 17, 2014 at 12:00 PM. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Travis Roy Foundation, which benefits people with spinal cord injuries, in memory of Andy. http://www.travisroyfoundation.org/ .
