Scott David Weirs

Scott D. Weirs, 42, of South Windsor, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Hartford Hospital. He was born October 15, 1963 in Stafford Springs, the son of Jeanne Filek of Franklin and Arthur Weirs of Stafford. He owned and operated Quality Installation of South Windsor for many years. In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, Joshua Weirs of Windsor, his step-father, Jerome Filek of Franklin, 3 sisters and their husbands, Joan and Larry Mitta of Stafford, Kimberley and Bruce Giard of Stafford and Sherry and Sandor Major of Willimantic, 2 nephews and a niece, Joseph, James and Nichole Major. He also leaves a dear friend, Father Patrick Martin and many loving friends at Ave Maria Place in Stafford Springs. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St., Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, Development Office, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
