Sara C.
Cianciolo
Mar 25, 1971 — Sep 10, 2026
Scotland, CT
Sara Christine Cianciolo, a longtime resident of Scotland CT, was born on March 25, 1971 and passed away on September 9, 2026 after a 14 year battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother to her family and a lover of animals, especially cats. Sara poured her time and energy into her family, homeschooling her two children from birth through high school. She also worked for over 15 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant beginning in home care and ending her career at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Following her work as a CNA, Sara turned to community volunteer work at the Willimantic No Freeze Shelter, donating time and supplies to those in need. In her free time Sara enjoyed thrift shopping, calligraphy and journaling with fountain pens, and spending time with her granddaughter. She was an avid lover of tea and appreciated spending her afternoons with a book and hot cup of tea. Sara also enjoyed walking the Mansfield Dam and weekly breakfast dates with her husband.
Sara is predeceased by her father Richard Tracy. She leaves behind her husband Patrick, her stepson Richard (Maisha), her son Jacob, her daughter Hannah (Dustin), her granddaughter Emelia, her sister Andrea (Peter), and many other loving family members.
Sara’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bulgaru and the team at Smilow Cancer Center for the exceptional quality of care and support that they provided Sara and her family during the last 14 years.
Sara will forever be remembered for the love that she showed her family and friends, and the courage and tenacity that she faced her cancer journey with. Sara will be deeply missed by all who’s lives she touched and her memory will continue to live on through her loved ones.
Services will be kept private. In lieu of sending flowers or a gift, the family requests that a donation be made instead to a charity of choice in Sara’s honor.
