Santina (Sammy) Ernst, passed peacefully away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her home at Hoffman Summerwood Community in West Hartford.?Predeceased by her husband Fred, Sammy grew up in Ridgefield, CT and raised her beloved family in Mt. Kisco.?She and Fred retired to Freedom Green in Mansfield Center and made many new friends.?Known by all as kind hearted and wise, Sammy always put others first.?She dearly loved her family, friends and feline friend Phoebe.?Sammy is survived by her children and their families, Lynn of Seattle, Fred of Denver, Kurt of Rochester and Todd of Brooklyn.?The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sammy?s memory, to Hoffman Summerwood Community or the Elizabeth Park Conservancy. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 noon, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT 06226. Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family.
