Sangboon Joo Obituary
Sangboon Joo, 82, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024 in Greenwich, Connecticut surrounded by her family. Formerly of East Hartford, Sangboon was the wife of the late Deukro Joo, and was the daughter of the late Siewoo Lee and Hyangseup Chung Lee. She was born in South Korea on February 12, 1942, and immigrated to the United States in 1979. She was a devoted wife and mother, had a strong and independent spirit and an unwavering faith in God. Sangboon will be dearly missed and remembered.
Sangboon is survived by her son, Jungmin, and his wife Yoonkyung; her daughters, Seyoung and her husband Minesh, and Meesoon and her husband Joocheol, and five beloved grandchildren: Jonathan, Jacob, Alec, Sofia, and Kaila.
A private ceremony will be held by the family and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Willimantic, Connecticut.
