Samuel Lofman, 90, of Airmont, NY, formerly of Mansfield, husband of the late Seena (Brettschneider) Lofman, died peacefully, Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in New York with his loved ones around him. He was born May 16, 1915 in Worcester, MA, the son of Solomon and Bertha (Nestor) Lofman and was a long time resident of Mansfield Center. He graduated from Dartmouth College and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned and operated Harry s Market on Main Street in Willimantic for many years. He is survived by 3 sons, Steven Lofman and his wife Patricia of Storrs, Eliot Lofman of Middletown, Brian Lofman and his partner Santos Lopez of Airmont, NY and a granddaughter, Alyse Lofman of Storrs. He was predeceased by a sister, Fannie Morris. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Hillel Burial Society Cemetery, Mansfield. There are no calling hours.
