Sally A. (Badore) Wrana, 58, of Columbia, peacefully departed this life, with her family at her side, on Sunday May 26, 2002 at the Windham Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She and her twin sister Nancy were born at home in Amston on Jan. 12, 1944, the children of Thomas and Lucy (Tennant) Badore. For nearly 30 years, Sally was employed at UConn. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Richard A. Wrana Jr. and Kathleen of Columbia, 5 brothers and sisters; John L. Mitchell and his wife Vivian of Willimantic, Barbara J. Dumas of Willimantic, Lucille A. Mitchell of Windham, Margie Sherwood and her husband Richard of Columbia and Thomas E. Badore and his wife Karleen of Scotland, 4 grandchildren; Kristy, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Autumn, many nieces and nephews and her former husband of 32 years Richard A. Wrana Sr. of Columbia. She was predeceased by her twin sister Nancy B. Thompson. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Cremation will take place on Friday. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in the New Willimantic Cemetery at the intersection of Rte. 32 and Rte. 6, Willimantic.
