Ryan A. Evans, 16, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born February 6, 1992 in Windham, the son of David and Bobbi-Jean Evans and had lived in Mansfield all his life. He was a student in the Windham Technical School Carpentry Program and enjoyed working with his hands and for his brother Justin at Evans Building and Remodeling. Ryan loved BMX bicycling and wrestling. In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, David Evans and his wife Myra of Hampton, Justin Evans of Mansfield, three nephews, Caleb, Kason and Carson, his paternal grandfather, Albert Evans of Mansfield, his girlfriend, Victoria Vose, several aunts and uncles including Rick and Debra Mongeau of Mansfield, Bruce and Cydnie Evans of Rapid City, SD, many cousins and friends. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Windham Technical School Wrestling Team, checks may be made to Windham Tech S.A.F. and sent to Windham Technical School, att.
