Ruth Elizabeth (Perkins) Sweet, (aka Magnolia Blossom), 90, of Lebanon, wife of the late John H. Sweet, died Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Mansfield Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Preston, CT on July 10, 1934, the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Parker) Perkins. She is predeceased by her husband John H. Sweet, her son John Jr., her daughter Jane, and her granddaughter Sally. Ruth was a genealogist Native American (Mohegan), a doll collector, a member of the DAR and raised two grandchildren. Ruth leaves behind her sons, Michael and Russell (Emelyne); daughters, Grace, Pat (partner Mike), Sarah (Wally), Carol (Ward) and son-in-law Rafael; she also leaves behind her grandchildren, Michael (Jamie), Sandy and Serena, Carrie (Michael), John (Erica), Logan, Blaine (Torie), Kayla, John, Elizabeth, Caroline, Bobby (Kayla), Tony (Carla), Riley Jane and Rosa; 16 great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2:00pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 328 Village Hill Road. Lebanon. Burial to follow at New Lebanon Cemetery on Waterman Road.
