Ruth Breed Robish Rosiene, of Hanover, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Windham Hospital. She was the youngest daughter of the late John M. Robish and Louise Breed Ladd Robish. She was born June 4, 1929 in Norwich. Ruth was a devoted, loving mother of two children, H. Richard Rosiene and his wife Patricia of Hanover and Diana L. Rosiene of Hanover, with whom she resided. She is also survived by a granddaughter, the love of her life, Tara E. Rosiene of San Diego, CA and her older sister, Kay Topliff of New Hampshire. She was a lifelong resident of Hanover, a member of the Hanover Congregational Church, active in Sunday School, the church choir and served as president of it's Women's Guild for several years. Ruth attended the local elementary school and graduated from Norwich Free Academy. She then went on to obtain her degree in Elementary Education at Willimantic State Teachers' College and her Master's degree and 6th year degree from the University of Connecticut, all the time raising her two children. Ruth taught for over 35 years affecting the lives of many people. A graveside service will be held Friday, March2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hanover Cemetery. Friends and family are all welcome to attend. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart Association.
