Ruth S. Gerds, 96 of Willimantic passed away Monday, May 2, 2016. She was born in Hallock, MN to the late Charles and Emelia (Lorenson) Olson. Ruth is survived by her son, Terry Gerds and his wife Patricia of Danville, VT; daughter, Charlien Gerds Hood of Storrs; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
