Ruth (Tashlik) Alexander

Ruth Alexander, 94, of West Hartford, CT died June 7, 2017. Born March 22, 1923 to the late Joseph and Sima Tashlik. Ruth was the 4th of 5 daughters. Ruth grew up on a beautiful farm in a beautiful white colonial style farmhouse with a wrap around porch. She and her sisters helped tend the 160-acre farm, with many fruit trees, cows, chickens, corn and hay. Every year Ruth?s family hosted boarders looking for a break from city living. She had many fond memories of growing up on the farm. In her adult years, she worked for the State of Connecticut as an Administrator for the CT Dept. of Housing. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice Alexander. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Beverly Raymond and husband Bill, Eileen Kaplan and husband Arnold. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Marcy Kaplan and husband Howard Flacker, Dana Jolly and husband Michael, and Michael Raymond and wife Jami. Ruth also leaves behind her great-grandson Michael Jolly, Jr. A Graveside Service will be held today, June 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Hebron Columbia Cemetery located in the Hillel Cemetery, Corner of Rte. 31 and Rte. 32.Charitable donations may be made to:American Alzheimers Association225 N.
