Russell R. Kearns

Russell Richard Kearns of North Windham, CT passed away peacefully early on Thursday morning January, 8 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Son of the late Maurice and Rita Kearns, Russell was born on August 6, 1939. He was very active in coaching Little League Baseball and enjoyed sharing his love of horses with his granddaughters. Russell truly enjoyed any events in which children and grandchildren participated. He loved to watch the University of Connecticut Men's and Woman's basketball teams as does his whole family, in and out of state. Russell is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Pamela Casey Kearns; son James Kearns; daughters Kim Ridzon, Lynn Engel and Cheryl Cote; granddaughters Shaina Engel, Chelsea Lehane and Morgan and Samantha Ridzon; grandsons Jeffery and Alex Cote. He also leaves behind brothers Kenny. Michael and Terry Kearns as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Russell will be truly missed by all who knew him. At his request there are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held at St. Columba Church in Columbia at 11:00AM on Monday, January 12, 2015.
