Russell Bugbee, 31, of Albion, NY, formerly of Windham, died Oct. 22, 2010 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born on July 11, 1979 in Willimantic and was a 1997 graduate of Windham Regional Vocational Technical School. In May of 1999, Russell graduated from Johnson & Wales University of Culinary Arts. He had been employed as the head chef at Alex's Place in Batavia, NY and had previously worked at several restaurants including The Harvest in Pomfret. Russell loved traveling, cooking, his friends, golf and hot wings! He hated snow. He is survived by his mother Donna Denis and her husband Gene of Windham, his father Harold Bugbee and his wife Juanita of Danielson, his sister Christine Cournoyer and her husband Jeremy of Lebanon, three stepsisters, two stepbrothers and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandmother Mary Arnott. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday Nov. 3rd between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic with assembly at the church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
