Royal E. Thompson

Royal Thompson, 91, of Green Hill Beach, RI, formerly of Storrs, CT, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013. He was the son of Royal Edward Thompson Sr. and Lillian (Popple) Thompson. He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Hazel (Beebe) Thompson; his daughter JoAnn Thompson and her husband Edward Zelonis; his two granddaughters Karen Lynn Keating and her husband Greg and Susan Ann Wertheim and her husband Charlie; 5 great grandchildren, Sydney, Connor, Morgan, Anna and Taylor; and his brother Maurice Thompson. Born in Storrs Connecticut, he spent the last 37 years in Green Hill Rhode Island. A graveside service will be held at the Pink Ravine Cemetery, jct. Bone Mill Rd. and Ravine Rd. in Storrs CT on August 17 at 11:30am.
