Roy A. Spinner, 85, of Willimantic, husband of Annabell (McManus) Spinner, died Friday October 3, 2003 at the Windham Hospital. He was born April 29, 1918 in Herkimer, NY, the son of Allen and Rose (Tennyson) Spinner and had lived in Willimantic for the past 40 years. Prior to his retirement he enjoyed being employed in the athletic department of Windham High School. In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Clifford and Mary Elizabeth Spinner of Columbia, Carl and Kathleen Spinner of Lebanon, Grant and Toni Gale Spinner of Columbia, a brother, Lars Spinner of Randolph, NY, 2 sisters, Clarabell Warner of Malone, NY and Lila Chevier of Niagara Falls, 3 grandchildren, Clayton, Margaret and Benjamin, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and 3 sisters. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. prior to the procession to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic.
