Rose Porter Obituary
Rose Marie (Selzer) Porter, of Brooklyn, CT, born March 5, 1958 left this world unexpectedly on March 1, 2023, just shy of her 65th birthday. She is predeceased by both her parents, George Selzer, Bernadette (Maine) Selzer and a brother Bernard Selzer of CT. She leaves behind 3 children, Brian Selzer of Arundel, ME, Amanda Foster of Plymouth, CT and “Bonnie” of Brooklyn, CT. There are seven grandchildren spread throughout CT, NH and ME. Rose also leaves behind two sisters and a brother. Rose grew up in the Willimantic area of CT before venturing up north. She enjoyed her career in custodial maintenance and worked at Biddeford High School, while she spent a large portion of her life in southern Maine. She will always be remembered for her love of animals and nature. Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, crocheting and cooking. Gone, but never forgotten. Private services for immediate family to be announced at a later time.
