Rose E. Metsack

Rose E. Metsack, 91, of Ashford, wife of the late Paul Metsack, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Windham Hospital. She was born August 21, 1916 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Nemeth) Hajma and was a long time resident of Ashford where she was an active communicant of St. Philip the Apostle Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to six children, Paul M. Metsack Sr. of Ashford, Rosemary Piecyk of Pomfret Center, Richard Metsack of Old Saybrook, Elizabeth Ann Piecyk of Suffield, Robert S. Metsack and Michael T. Metsack, both of Ashford, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Rte 44, in the Warrenville section of Ashford with burial following in St. Philip Cemetery.
