Rose Marie "Germaine" Laboy

Obituary Rose Marie "Germaine" (McClure) Laboy was called home by God on Friday April 6, 2012 in the loving arms of her daughters. She was truly a kind and loving person who took great joy being with her family and friends. Germaine worked at the Electro Motive for many years before raising her family. She was born October 2, 1931, and was a lifelong resident of Willimantic. She was the daughter of the late Yvonne (Vertefeuille) and George McClure Sr. Germaine was married to the late Edmond E. Laboy. She leaves behind two daughters; Cheryl Russ and her husband Earl, Judy Zemantic and her husband Robert Jr., four grandchildren whom she adored; Ashley Russ-Nuhfer, Aaron Russ, Ryan Zemantic, Tyler Zemantic and great-granddaughter Alaina Nuhfer. She is also survived by two sisters; Lorraine Rovozzo, Blanche "Honey" Michaels, and a brother Maurice McClure. Germaine is survived by her longtime companion Donald Bocash. She was predeceased by her siblings; George McClure Jr., Colleen Shepard and Doris Chaput. The family would like to give a special thank you to Douglas Manor for their care and compassion. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday April 10, 2012, at noon, at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic.
