Rose Zoldak Obituary
Rose Marie Zoldak, 90, of Willimantic, CT passed away peacefully at Vanderman Place, Willimantic on December 11, 2023.  She was born on October 19, 1933 in Willimantic, CT, the daughter of the late Albert and Edna (LaFlamme) Bigelow.

Rose Marie started her career after attending Windham High School, Class of 1951 as a telephone operator at SNET, resigned to raise her family, and then worked and retired as a Telecommunications Operator for the State of Connecticut (Mansfield Training School and UConn).

Her passion was spending time with her family, shopping, and going to her summer cottage in Coventry as well as collecting dolls and antiquing.  She always said that her children were her life. She had also enjoyed going with her longtime friends to craft shows and taking bus trips over the years.

She is survived by her children Sharon Marrotte and her husband Steve, Walter Zoldak and his wife Linda, Scott Zoldak, Gregg Zoldak, and Jessica Zoldak, brother Raymond Bigelow, and several nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by two special nieces Debra Mongeau and Judy Lawless.

Rose was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Zoldak, son Kurt Zoldak, sisters Nellie Muzykowski and Madeline Boucar, and brothers Bert, Gene, Henry, Bobby, and Donald Bigelow.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Vanderman Place for taking such good care of Rose Marie in her final days on earth.

Rose’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 9:00am until her funeral service at 10:00am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic. Her burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
