Rosalie (Melody) Woodward, 90, of Willimantic, wife of the late George Woodward, died Friday May 25, 2012 at her home. She was born Sept. 13, 1921 in Brighton, MA, the daughter of Louis B. and Mary (Riley) Melody. Rosalie had resided in Willimantic since 1945 and had been employed for many years as a legal secretary for the law firm of Gaucher, Gaucher, Kelley & Potter. She later retired from the School of Pharmacy UConn in 1986 as an administrative assistant. Rosalie was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, a former member of the Willimantic Women's Club and a member of the Connecticut State Retirees Association. She was an independent woman who loved her home and her family. She will be missed by her family, neighbors and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Melody Friedrich and her husband John of South Deerfield, MA and Jane Woodward of Morganton, NC. She was predeceased by her brother John L. Melody. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 30th at 11:30am in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd., Windham.
