Rosa Juan Obituary
Rosa Marina Juan, 82, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Windham Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born the daughter of the late Marino Toledo and Ana Rosa Cespedes on August 30, 1939 in Cuba, where she grew up and married Juan Juan in 1964. Later she immigrated to America and became a United States citizen. Rosa and Juan shared a wonderful life together for forty-four years until his passing in 2008. Rosa was a dedicated wife, a wonderful mother, and devoted Abuela. She loved to laugh, go on vacation with her family, watch the Red Sox and Patriots play, and care for her ‘granddogs’. She loved family gatherings and spending time with those she loved.
Rosa is survived by daughter Caridad Vincente and her husband Curt of Mansfield, CT, son Juan Juan, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Bolton, CT, four grandchildren, Chad Vincente, Cristina Vincente, Trevor Juan, and Marina Juan, half-sister Ileana Toledo, of Havana, Cuba, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rosa was predeceased by her husband Juan Juan and her sister Consuelo.
The family wishes to express gratitude to all who befriended Rosa throughout her life and to the Windham Hospital staff for making her comfortable in the last days of her life.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 46 Valley Street, Willimantic, CT. Burial to immediately follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 134 Club Road, Willimantic, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association at
