Ronald F. Skorton

Ronald F. Skorton, 58, of Ashford, formerly of Mansfield, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Windham Hospital. He was born September, 24, 1951 in Montclair, NJ, the son of Jean (Hetherington) Skorton and the late Robert F.Skorton. He was devoted to the arts, especially the theater and as a young man taught, designed sets and wrote scripts. Ronald had a sharp sense of humor, he was a quick witted man who enjoyed gourmet cooking. He was a wonderful and gentle father to his four children; Jessica Grobe and her husband Adam of NJ, Matthew Skorton, also of NJ, Sean Skorton of Rockville and Joshua Skorton of Ashford. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Kaelin Grobe and Kira Skorton and a brother, Keith Skorton in NJ. Also surviving are Karen Finn of NJ, the mother of Jessica and Matthew and also Marianne Morascini of Columbia, the mother of Sean and Joshua. All are welcome to a gathering in celebration of Ron's life on Saturday, May 15th between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at the Morascini home at 9 Old Willimantic Rd. in Columbia.
