Ronald A. Nichols

Ronald Alan Nichols, 80, of Mansfield, CT left this life, Saturday, January 3, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born in Buxton, ME to Stuart and Elizabeth (Elden) Nichols, on April 4, 1934. He leaves behind his loving wife, Frances (Clark) Nichols of 59 years; daughter Deborah Weidner, and her husband Joe of Montana; son Robert Nichols, and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield; brother Stuart Nichols Jr.; and his special cat Squeeky. Also, two grandchildren, Shauna and Cheyenne, and a great-granddaughter Jude. He is predeceased by his brothers, James Nichols, Thomas Nichols, and John Nichols. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, the ocean, auctions, cooking on the grill, and spending time with his family. He made friends easily and was liked by all, and will be greatly missed. He worked at UCONN in the Landscaping Department, and retired after 25 years. His funeral will be private as he requested.
