Ronald David Evans, known affectionately as Ron, passed away on December 18th, 2023, in Putnam, Connecticut, at the age of 65. Born on April 9th, 1958, in Natick, Massachusetts, he was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather.
Throughout his years, Ron dedicated his professional life to the servicing of gas station pumps and equipment, a trade within Connecticut and Massachusetts where his diligence and expertise were well respected. Even outside the demands of work, he never stopped applying his practical skills with an unrelenting energy whether it was fixing a leaky faucet or tuning up an old car.
An avid sports fan, Ron’s passion shone brightest when he was on the golf course with his friends and his sons. He never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved New England Patriots or to experience the thrill of a NASCAR race.
Ron’s memory is cherished by his loving mother, Lois; his children, Lauren, Olivia, Jeffrey, Stephen, and Melissa; many adoring grandchildren; and his sister Roxanne Evans-Greathead. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend, Sharon Crossley, who stood by him through thick and thin. He was predeceased by his father, David Evans.
Ron’s warmth and wit will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
