Ronald J. Desrosiers

Ronald J, Desrosiers, ?Shorty?, 86, of Willimantic, CT passed away on to eternal life on November 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Living Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 15, 1931 in Willimantic, CT to the late Leo Joseph and Marie Jeanne (Cote) Desrosiers. Ronald proudly served in the United States Air Force at McQuire Air Force in Burlington, NJ. He worked at Brand-Rex Co. in Willimantic for 30 years before retiring in 1991. Ronald loved spending his free time in Maine with his In-Laws and friends. Ronald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Geraldine Desrosiers, two brothers; Lionel J. Desrosiers of Mansfield, CT, Dennis J. Desrosiers, of Windsor, CT; five sons, Leo A. Desrosiers of Manchester, CT, Richard P. Desrosiers of Plainfield, CT, Vernon P. Desrosiers of Manchester, CT, Andre F. Desrosiers of New Britain, CT, Gary L. Desrosiers of Trenton, NJ; a daughter, Cheryl A Desrosiers of Manchester, CT; a step-daughter, Dawn Fortier and husband Walter Fortier, of Willimantic, CT. Ronald is also survived by several grand children, great grand children and close friends. Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother Lucien J. Desrosiers; son, Michael S. Desrosiers; step son, Dean LaChappelle and a sister in law, Dorothy Desrosiers. A memorial service will be held on December 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, followed by a celebration of life at St. Joseph Church in Willimantic.
