Rolande Marie Rose Schlehofer (99), of Windham, Connecticut passed away peacefully at Douglas Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the early hours of Thursday February 19, 2026, after a long life filled with family and laughter.

A lifelong resident of the area, she was born March 9, 1926, to Donat Provencher and Alice Houlde. Rolande married Edward Stanley Schlehofer, who referred to her affectionately as “Lolly.” Alongside her husband, Rolande moved to Mansfield and raised two children: Ronald Jean Schlehofer and Linda Rose Richter, before returning to Windham in her later years.

After returning to Windham, Rolande became active in Windham Center Church, where she was known for her soft smile and caring, sweet demeanor. Always one to enjoy the presence of her family, Rolande and Edward’s annual holiday parties were always a hit, and her joy and laughter at the silly quirks of life will be remembered and missed.

She is survived by her siblings Raymond Provencher, Joseph Provencher, and Andrea Buckley; her son, Ronald Jean; her grandchildren Shannon Richter, Michele Marie Schlehofer Copper, Timothy Jean Schlehofer, and Katelyn Ann Bradford; and six great-grandchildren: Tyrick, Don Jr., Odin, Evren, Leander, and Emerald.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Lionel Schlehofer; and her beloved daughter, Linda Rose.
