Roger "Rj" Golden

Roger "RJ" Golden, 39, of Chaplin, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Willimantic. He was born August 28, 1971 in Willimantic, the son of Roger and Carol (Sargent) Golden of Chaplin and had lived in Chaplin all his life. RJ loved being outdoors, camping and fishing, especially at the Charlestown RI Breachway and spending time with his nieces and nephew. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kellie Pawlikowski and her husband Raymond of Hampton, a brother, Richard Allen Golden and his wife Kim of Scotland, his paternal grandmother, Marilyn Golden of Dayville, three nieces, Caitlin Golden, Ashley Estell and Lindsey Pawlikowski and a nephew, Kolby Golden, many aunts, uncles and cousins. His family will receive friends and family at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Friday November 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, November 27th at the Chaplin Fire Department from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Town of Chaplin Cemetery Maintenance Fund, c/o Town Hall.
