Roger Bolduk, 71, of Chaplin, husband of Mary (Valvo) Bolduk, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 in Mansfield. He was born September 13, 1935 in Willimantic, the son of the late Fred and Ellen (Clark) Bolduk and grew up in Windham before moving to Chaplin. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 40 years at Kaman Aerospace. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years and a member of the Chaplin Congregational Church. Roger played the guitar most of his life and enjoyed playing country and gospel music. His joys were family, music and especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Heidi (Tucker) Bolduk of Vernon, Roger and Kimberly (Searles) Bolduk of Brooklyn, 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Monica, Morgan, Joseph, Stephanie, Jonathan and Sarah, a brother, Oliver Bolduc of Chaplin, 3 sisters, Betty Hawkins of Mansfield, Patricia Bolduc of Florida and Marguerite Montpelier of North Grosvenordale, 11 nieces and 6 nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert Bolduc, Carl Victor Bolduc and William Kenneth Bolduc and a sister, Ellen Bonin. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chaplin Congregational Church, Chaplin St., Chaplin.
