Rodney Bridges

Rodney A. Bridges, 78, of North Windham, formerly of Coventry, husband of the late Muriel (Reed) Bridges, died Tuesday March 5, 2002 at home. He was born June 20, 1923 in Wells, Maine, the son of Albert and Etta Reed. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Bridges was employed for over 30 years by Brunelli Construction in Southington. He is survived by 2 granddaughters, Spring Tata of North Windham and Amy Carpenter of Plainfield, 2 brothers, Harold and Casper Bridges of Wells, Maine, 2 sisters, Gertrude Sousa of Rhode Island and Louise Reed of Willimantic, several nieces and nephews. Private services were held and burial with military honors took place in the New Willimantic Cemetery. The Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic was in charge of arrangements. www.potterfh.com
