Robert Allyn Rood

Robert A Rood, 66, passed away peacefully at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on October 12, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 20, 1951 in Windham CT, to the late Horace I. Rood Sr. (Bud) and Emily (Warinsky) Rood. Robert grew up in the Windham area where he graduated from Windham High School and got his post graduate degree in machine shop. He was employed by Brand Rex, Cable Technology, Pratt & Whitney and Foxwoods Resort Casino through all his years of employment. Robert is survived by his brother, Horace (Bud) Rood Jr and Angie; sister, Ruth Rood) Dinenno and husband William (Bill) Dinenno; sons, Mark (Jill) Justin, Eric and his daughter Andrea. Robert also leaves behind his two granddaughters Katelynn and Cheyenne. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law John (Jack) Rood and Susan Rood. We would like to thank all the wonderful staff a Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for all the care he received while there. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We will be having a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday October 28, 2017 at 1:00pm. It will be held at 24 Nollet Rd. Mansfield Center, CT 06250. There will no funeral service and burial will be private.
