Robert C. Risley

Robert C. Risley, 80, of Willimantic, husband of Sadie (Spadaro) Risley, died Monday, September 10, 2007 at his home. He was born May 15, 1927 in Manchester, the son of Clifford and Evelyn (Martin) Risley and had lived in Willimantic most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and had been employed for 12 years at Brand Rex in Willimantic prior to his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, Boston Red Sox fan and loved his car and animals. Robert enjoyed working with his hands and creating and refurbishing things. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by three daughters, Linda Haggerty, Barbara Ritchie and Susan MacWay, five grandsons, one great grandson and one great granddaughter. A graveside service with military honors will be held Wednesday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Club Rd. Windham. There are no calling hours.
