Robert J. Olivera, 78, of Chaplin passed peacefully with his children by his side October 13, 2014. He was born in New Bedford, MA to Joseph Pacheco Reposa and Eufrazena Olivera. He always enjoyed telling stories of being a paratrooper for the Army stationed at Fort Bragg. Most of his life he was self employed as a Home Improvement Contractor and carpenter. Bob (as everyone knew him) was an inspiration to all. At a very young age he was separated from his family and placed into state custody where he would be moved from one foster home to another until he answered an ad for an apartment for rent and met the love of his life, Jane J. (Mirucki) Olivera (pre-deceased). They married shortly after and that's when Bob fulfilled his lifelong dreams. Having two girls, being self employed and doing what he loves and building his own home in Chaplin. He is now together again with his beloved wife of 48 years. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, grand children and great grand kids as well as all that knew him. Everyone who knew him was touched by his kindness and inspiration. He was a father figure to many. He leaves behind two loving daughters, Kathleen Ann Jones of Vernon and Barbara J. King of Willington. Four Grandchildren, Tammy Mullett and her husband Larry, Daniel S. Jones, Michael J. King and Steven R. King. Three great grandchildren, Leah Mullett, Reid Mullett and Kennedy Jones. Brothers, Walter Olivera and Leonard Braman and a sister (pre-deceased) Jeanette Santos.
