Robert Koniar

Robert Edward Koniar ,51, of Storrs, CT, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Windham Hospital. Born on January 3, 1959, he was a son of Adolph "Lefty" Koniar and the late Helen Koniar of Storrs. He enjoyed fishing, going out with friends, NASCAR races and the beach. He was also a member of the Eastern CT. Sportsmans Club in Ashford. Besides his father, he left behind his loving daughter Christine Koniar who he adored, and was very close to. He will always be loved and greatly missed. He is also survived by his sister Dorine Randall, brother-in law Ronald Randall, his brother John Koniar and two beautiful grandchildren Attianna Preneta and Matthew McMahon, and a special friend for several years, Karen Koniar. A memorial service will be open to friends and family on December 30, 2010 at 11:00am at the First Congegational Church, 199 Valley St., Willimantic, CT. There are no calling hours.
