Robert W. Hemingway, 65, of Scotland, husband of the late Vivien Hemingway, died Wednesday Jan. 17, 2007 after suffering a heart attack. He was born Jan. 7, 1942 in Willimantic the son of the late Joseph and Betty (Lehman) Hemingway. He had recently retired from DeSiato Sand and Gravel after over 40 years of employment. Mr. Hemingway was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary at Mystic and had been an avid motorcycle enthusiast for many years. He is survived by a son Steven Hemingway and his wife Allison of Chaplin, 2 daughters, Shelley Niskanen and her husband Paul of Scotland and Gail Lovley and her husband Darrel of Ellington; 2 stepchildren, Brenda Landry and her husband James of Lebanon and Allan Ouellette of Scotland; a sister Sandra Harrison and her husband Butch of Norwich, 4 grandchildren, Allan Niskanen and Caleb, Casey and Corin Landry and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Saturday between 10:00 and 11:00am with a Memorial Service to begin at 11:00am.
