Robert F. Huntley, 83, of Willimantic formerly of Chaplin, passed away Monday January 21, 2013 at Windham Hospital, with family by his side. He was born May 14, 1929 in Norwich to Frank Huntley and Susan Gallup Huntley. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Cynthia, his daughter Lori and son in law David Crandall of Plainfield, his son Robert Paul Huntley and daughter in law Loretta Bedus of Windsor, and his youngest Daughter Victoria, son in law Greg Sealey, and granddaughter McKenzie Duhaime of Ellington. Robert worked for 35 years at HL Diehl Company of South Windham as a painter. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter McKenzie. He loved wood working, playing cards with friends, and was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast. He was known for going out his way to help others. He was a part of McSweeney Regional Senior Center and Jackson St. Seniors. He was a member at the First Congregational Church of Willimantic. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, (Rte. 82) Norwich on Tuesday January 29, 2013 at 1:00pm.
