Robert "Bob" Crowther

Robert H. Crowther "Bob", 55, of Groton, Connecticut, passed away on July 24, 2012. Bob was kind, strong yet soft-spoken with a huge heart. A man of few words, his steadfast, capable and calm presence was felt by everyone around him. An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Bob loved being in the woods, planting, gardening and enjoying wildlife photography. At home, Bob could often be found cooking, playing his guitar or reading with one of his beloved dogs by his side. As a nurse, Bob rendered care with kindness and composure that brought comfort to countless patients and families. Coworkers gravitated toward his keen wit and down-to-earth outlook. Bob was truly devoted to those he loved and was loved by many. His memory will remain in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully, Bob. Bob is survived by his son, Joshua Crowther, his brother, Harry T Crowther and his wife Susan, his sister Nancy Patrylak and her husband Ray, his three grandchildren, Cayenne, Trinity and Micaela, his partner, Victoria Tyler and her son Hayden, his former wife, Katelyn Crowther and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Hazel Crowther, and his sister, Linda Crowther.
